How to Repair Clip In Hair Extensions

How to Repair Clip In Hair Extensions

When clip in hair extensions are constantly used and go through the day to day activities, the clips could come loose or even break. Repairing clip in hair extensions can be a bit fiddley but possible.
You can usually avoid your clip in hair extensions being damaged by taking precautions. Like not resting your head while they are in, avoid any tugging and generally being gentle with them. Clip in hair extension clips are very durable and are designed to withstand day to day wearing, however they are by no means indestructable.

Re-attaching Clip In Hair Extension Clips

Re-attaching clip in hair extension clips takes patience, and you need to attach them very securely.
Use a strong thread (preferably to the colour of the hair extensions), double the thread by folding and poke through one of the ends of the clip.

With the doubled thread through the clip, poke the thread through the eye of the needle (ideally a weaving needle).
Ensure you have the correct position for the clip along the hair extension weave and sew into place securing with a very tight knot.
Repeat for the other end of the clip and gently tug at the clip to ensure security.
